LOVE IS LOVE STICKER

EME6002
Regular price $2.25

This sticker was created using artwork from Elaine Meyer, an artist from San Diego, CA. The words are overlaid on one of her brilliant watercolors. "It's ironic that something so valuable and precious as love is free," she said. "You've just got to be willing to open your heart." Elaine was homeless from 2015-2017. "It can happen to almost anyone. I first stayed with friends, but I eventually ended up at Father Joe's. I wouldn't have survived on the streets."

Fun fact: the date of the postmark is the date when France passed legislation making same sex marriage legal: May 18, 2013.

Although Elaine did manage to find housing, she sadly passed away in February of 2021 due to complications from a lung transplant. We are forever grateful for the love and joy she sparked in all of us.

15% of the sales from this sticker go to the Crawford Fund that helps our newest makers who have yet to create enough cards to generate sufficient income. Second Story Cards donates an additional 10% to Father Joe's Villages, the organization that helped Elaine find housing.
