GO GO POSTCARD

This postcard was created by Levester Joe Green II. A native Washingtonian, Levester is a huge fan of the music made famous by Chuck Brown. "Go Go music is to Washington what Motown is to Detroit and Reggae is to Jamaica. There's something uniquely DC about the rhythmic beat and blend of funk, R&B and old school hip-hop that is primal to anyone who grew up here," he says. He even has his own Go Go name: NowLaterJoe.

Homeless from 2006-2019, Levester used to sleep on the streets in the Tenleytown neighborhood of Washington, DC. Today we're excited to share that Levester has his very own apartment.
